I recently bought a new pickup truck. I was pretty sure I wanted another Ford, but I went ahead and test drove a Dodge and a Chevrolet pickup just to make sure. By test driving a vehicle you can learn a lot about it, most important, you get to “try it out” and see if it’s right for you.

Cirrus Aircraft has come up with a cool way to “test drive” an airplane. Think of it as sort of a way to test out personal flying and see if it’s right for you. Now I would be the first to say that test driving an airplane is a bit more complex than test driving a pickup truck. But Cirrus has figured that out too. Usually, when you test drive a car or truck, the salesman will ride along with you, and he will answer any questions you  might have, and he might point out some of the neat  features included on the vehicle you are test driving. Same with “test driving” a new Cirrus airplane; except, instead of the salesman flying with you, a professional CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot) will be with you to answer any questions and point out the neat features of the new Cirrus. If you don’t know how to fly, no problem; that’s why you have a CSIP along, he can teach you how to fly along the way. Or if you prefer, he can do the flying, and just point out to you how everything works.

Cirrus over water

Cirrus calls this program the “Cirrus Ten Hour Test Drive” and we are presently offering it here at Special Services Corporation. For $4995* you can enjoy a real life hands-on experience of flying a new state-of-the-art Cirrus airplane. And the best part is; if you decide to buy a Cirrus airplane after you take the test drive, Cirrus will apply the amount you paid for your test drive toward the purchase price of your new Cirrus; making it a “free” test drive.

So if the very thought of flying places in your own airplane excites you, just stop and think for a moment how flying can change your day-to-day life and travel. Just imagine – you’re with your family, you are at the controls of your new airplane…and now you have the freedom to fly where you choose and on your own timetable. No commercial airline hassles and no traffic jams. Now you and your family can effortlessly visit extended family and friends, fly to exotic beaches and remote ski lodges. Imagine deep-sea fishing trips and Golf outings with your buddies; I have a feeling you will always be invited, for sure. You can afford an airplane…so why not do it?

Now I know where your thoughts go to next, you begin to think: But I don’t know how to fly. Can I learn? Would I feel comfortable being in the pilot’s seat? Can I fit flying lessons into my busy schedule?

You deserve to know if flying is right for you, so get in touch with me and we will explore the answers together. I will work with you to discover if flying your own personal airplane is something you will enjoy. I’ll show you how to take-off and land. And, you will learn how to fly safely and in various kinds of conditions. And most importantly, I’ll give you all the answers to the questions pilots typically ask.

Hope to see you in the skies!

Tailwinds,

Tim McConnell (CSIP)
