SSC Wants Your Photos!

We’re wanting to build an internal library of real SSC images we can use for the website, social media, recruiting, and client presentations – and highlight the people who make SSC work every day.

Contest Overview

  • Open to all SSC team members (flight, maintenance, dispatch, admin, line, management).

  • Timeframe: Monthly prizes will be awarded for the best photos each month of 2026.

  • Photos must be taken by an SSC employee and relate to SSC operations, aircraft, people, or locations.

Themes / Categories

  1. Aircraft & Operations

    • Aircraft on the ramp, in hangars, maintenance in progress, cockpit shots (on the ground only).

  2. People & Culture

    • Teamwork, behind-the-scenes, training, celebrations, everyday moments at GMU or on the road.

  3. Destinations & Travel

    • Views from trips, airports served, regional scenery that represents SSC routes.

  4. Fuel & Facilities

    • Fuel trucks, fuel farm, FBO spaces, construction progress on the new facility, etc.

Eligibility

  • Current SSC employees only.

  • Employees may submit up to 10 photos total per month.

Submission Requirements

  • File types: JPG or PNG preferred.

  • Minimum size: 2000 px on the long edge (so it’s usable on the website). Let us know if the high-resolution version is available.

  • No heavy filters or AI-generated imagery. Basic cropping/light correction is fine.

  • Horizontal (landscape) orientation preferred for website hero images, but vertical is allowed.

  • Each photo must include:

    • Photographer name

    • Date taken

    • Location

    • Short caption (what’s happening, why it matters)

    • Category

Usage & Rights

By submitting, employees agree that:

  • SSC may use the images in marketing, website, social media, presentations, recruiting, and internal communications.

  • SSC may crop, resize, or lightly edit images for clarity and branding.

  • SSC will credit the photographer internally when practical; external posts may or may not include credit depending on format/space.

Safety & Privacy Rules (non-negotiable)

  • No photos taken while operating an aircraft or vehicle.

  • No photos in any phase of flight that would distract from safety-critical duties.

  • Follow all airport and TSA security rules – no restricted areas unless you are already authorized to be there.

  • Do not include:

    • Visible passenger faces without their explicit permission.

    • Sensitive personal info (boarding passes, IDs, medical info, etc.).

    • Anything that could be construed as unsafe or unprofessional.

If passengers or visitors are recognizable, you must confirm they are comfortable with SSC using the image in marketing. (A simple written email “yes” is sufficient and should be stored with the submission.)
